United Nations Common Country Analysis and United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for Angola

The Common Country Analysis (CCA) constitutes the UN’s independent and impartial assessment of the Angola country context. It is the foundation for the United Nations Sustainable Development Framework of Angola, which is the document that guides all United Nations agencies’ programming in the country for the period of 2023-2027.

The CCA is developed by the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office, in close collaboration with UN agencies, civil society organisations and the Government of Angola.  Claudia supported the process through in-depth analyses in the areas of climate and environment, health, education, peace and governance, and humanitarian assistance.

The result was a comprehensive document outlining key development trends, challenges, opportunities and risks in areas ranging from climate change to social development and economic transformation, providing data for evidence-based policymaking for the Angola National Development Plan.

In a follow-up project, Knut used the CCA as the basis to help the UN draft the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF), which outlines the contribution of all UN agencies to Angola for the period between 2024 and 2028.
